How it all began
Going through lots of single-use batteries, our founders (Molly and Will) went on a quest to find a better alternative. This search uncovered some alarming facts: the significant carbon footprint made by single-use batteries, and the lack of knowledge around the real impacts of battery disposal.
Instead of just another battery alternative, USYNC’s mission grew — to inspire people to recharge, not re-buy. Together we can create awareness of the immense benefits of rechargeable power and inspire action for a better (rechargeable) future.
Meet Molly and Will
Our founders, Molly and Will are passionate about powering life in a better – more sustainable – way.
A keen adventurer, Molly spent 4 years sailing around the world on a yacht. During this time, she faced a very real problem: everything she needed was powered by disposable batteries.
She soon learned about the waste and environmental damage they cause – not only to the land and sea but also the communities around them – and set out to find a better solution. She then shared her goal with her brother, Will, an engineer in training with a deep social connection to local communities. With a passion for impactful innovations, he joined Molly on her mission.
Together the vision of USYNC was born.
